Salt improves the taste of so many dishes. And I’ve been seeing a lot of fancy salts in farmers markets and high end shops. So I decided to make my own because it is fun and easy. Plus the salts make great, inexpensive gift for foodies.
I use little containers with silicon seals from CB2 that are about $1.95 each.
I prefer kosher salt, but pink Himalayan salt would look neat as well.
For all the salts, first layer in 2 spoonfuls salt, then a bit of the additives. Mix well and continue adding until you reach the top of the container.
Herby Salt You can dry the herbs first, or use fresh You can also mix and match, add oregano or marjoram. Get creative.
I most certainly will use these recipes. I've always been curious about a pressure cooker.

I've known I was highly sensitive to alliums (mostly garlic) for almost a decade now. While it's sometimes been a struggle, I've also found some delicious dishes and creative ways to make traditionally garlic- and onion-heavy foods. I've always wished there was an allium-free cookbook, but I figured perhaps by sharing my recipes, I could find other eaters with the same restrictions who would share back. This is our forum.
